What are the top requirements to qualify for this position?

1. We are looking for an Account Executive that can run their own “franchise”.

2. Experience selling the life-cycle of a deal from lead to close.

3. You should be a relentless hunter, driving to win new business for SFDC.

4. You should have a strong track record of exceeding quota in solution/consultative sales.

5. Experience selling core enterprise business applications is preferred.

Why is this position open?

Salesforce is experiencing unprecedented growth due to the demand for cloud based solutions and social and mobile business applications.

We are adding Account Executives around the world to support the inbound demand from our existing clients and to cover new merging territories. Our goal is to double the size of the company in the next 5 years.

Describe the current team this person will join, including the reporting structure.

You will be part of a 10 person sales team reporting to a Regional VP. You'll have a territory with customers, prospects, and an existing pipeline.

Before you get started you'll attend our Boot Camp which is the best new hire training program you have experienced. You will leave boot camp with all the knowledge you need to go hit your number.

What percentage of the candidate's time will be spent on existing products/business, versus items that are new?

The role is a combination of selling to prospects and to existing customers.

You will have a set of install base customers but we are looking for hunters that can win new business for the company.

What challenges will this person face on a daily basis?

The main challenge is time management. Our most successful AE's do a great job of managing their time to provide the appropriate focus to large strategic opportunities while managing a large volume of smaller projects.

How are you positioned within the industry and what are your growth plans?

Salesforce.com has been an innovator and leader in Cloud Computing for 12 years. In 2011 and beyond we have refocused the company around the Social Enterprise and are taking a leadership position in the next generation of enterprise applications.

What is your business model?

Hub based selling model that allows us to work and collaborate with the team. Reps typically are travelling in territory meeting with customers 25-30% of the time.
